Nylon removable prostheses

Today nylon prostheses have become a good alternative to acrylic prostheses. Most of dentists have chosen nylon prostheses as the last have many obvious advantages.

The Advantages of Nylon Prostheses are:

1. Nylon prostheses have high elasticity owing to which they optimally fit to the teeth. It provides very strong fixation, improved reliability and durability of the prosthesis.

2. Nylon prostheses made of ‘Defleks’ or cast acrylic look very attractive. They are put on natural teeth, for them there is no need to manufacture special ceramic or metal-ceramic crowns. That is why they are quite simple to use and there is no threat of negative impact of metal in your mouth. So, these prostheses are sometimes called "invisible prostheses".

3. Nylon prosthesis is not hygroscopic. Owing to this fact it does not accumulate saliva and bacteria.

4. Nylon prostheses made of ‘Defleks’ or cast acrylic do not cause allergic reactions, do not swell in the oral cavity and all consumer qualities they have are much better than ordinary acrylic dentures.

5. Nylon prosthesis has a very high precision landing. Shrinkage compensation and high precision adjustment on the control model are done on purpose in order to accelerate additive and make them serve longer.

Today, there are various kinds of nylon prostheses: classical nylon ‘Cern’ or ‘Flexident’ have been replaced with new and modern materials. One of them is polyamide plastic ‘Deflex’. It is the most perfect material used to produce modern dentures.
