Ceramic Inlay / Ceramic Onlay

Ceramic Inlay / Ceramic Onlay

One of the options of prosthetics offered in our dental clinic is the installation of ceramic inlays or ceramic onlays on the tooth. Ceramic inlays are extremely durable micro prosthesis. It is fixed in the cavity of the tooth without a metal frame. Because of this teeth look natural, light passes through translucent ceramics similarly to the way it passes through the natural tooth enamel. This allows to simulate the optical characteristics of the tooth, and ceramic Inlay is almost invisible in any light.

What indications exist for the installation of ceramic inlays? Specialists of our dentistry in Prague recommend patients to use ceramic Inlays when for example there are large fillings that need replacing. Ceramic Inlays can be used if you do not like the color of your teeth, their shape or position.

Doctors in our dental clinic will make a perfect, dazzling "Hollywood smile" for any patient by using the full ceramic restorations. Prices for dental treatment, dentures and restoration in the dental clinic BioDent significantly differ from the price level in other European dental clinics in a better way. Our pricing policy allows us to be attractive for patients with different levels of income, including students. Every student who will come to us will receive a 20% discount on all dental treatment.

We have our own dental laboratory where we make all the necessary ceramic inlays and ceramic onlays. As a result of our work, restored teeth outwardly do not differ from healthy teeth. Ceramic Inlays are durable and do not wear off from chewing and have a maximally aesthetic look.

If more than one third of the dental crown is destroyed, this is a direct indication for the production of full ceramic inlay / ceramic onlay. We practically do not use metal ceramic for teeth in our work, only in rare cases. Today, modern achievements in dentistry allow us to use metal-free ceramic restorations for dental prosthetics, which is much more natural and biological than metal ceramic.

Many dentists even today are choosing old-fashioned methods, such as composite fillings. The disadvantage of such fillings is polymerization shrinkage as well as high wearability and discoloration over time. Moreover, the exact reconstruction of contacts between the teeth directly in the patient's mouth in this case is more difficult.

Ceramic inlays / ceramic onlays are free of such disadvantages because all the models are produced in our dental laboratory and they are fixed with special adhesive cement.

Perfect aesthetic appearance of a tooth is one of the main advantages of ceramic inlays. In addition, they are resistant to external influences and don’t change color, even under the influence of strong dyes such as coffee and cigarettes.

Today ceramic inlays are a perfect and most modern alternative to the composite fillings.
