What is bruxism?
If you wake up you find yourself, that you have a sore jaw or head, it probably means, that you suffer from bruxism (compression of the jaws and teeth grinding). Because of the bruxism teeth may become painful or shatter, and sometimes parts of the teeth are literally worn down. Eventually, bruxism can destroy the surrounding bone and gum tissue.
This disease can lead to such problems with mandibular joint dysfunction syndrome as temporo-mandibular joint syndrome (TMJ).
