How to keep the crowns with bruxism?
With bruxism, unfortunately, not only natural, but also artificial teeth suffer. Besides, if a dental crown is installed on only one jaw, the opposite tooth will also be destroyed from the strong pressure. In order for the dental prostheses to serve as long as possible, the use of night caps is recommended.
The Cap is transparent, made of soft plastic cap on all teeth. Caps are placed on one or both jaws only at night and due the softness and elasticity of the material protect teeth from destruction.
Capp functions:
- protect natural teeth from damage
- protect from damage artificial prostheses
- reduce the load on the muscles of the jaw and facial systems
Steps for installing capps:
- jaw prints
- an individual cap (either transparent or colored) is made from soft plastic or acrylic according to the jaw prints
- fitting and adjustment of the patient's mouth guard in the jaw design for maximum comfort
Caps are worn only at night and can not only safeguard your teeth and dentures but also greatly shortcut the work of muscles, giving them rest and thereby reducing the risk of the consequences of bruxism.
